Quality Control for FPGA & Programmable Logic Components

Every component undergoes a structured multi-step inspection before shipping. From supplier screening to pre-shipment documentation, we help you receive the right parts with confidence.

Our Quality Process

A systematic 6-step inspection workflow designed for FPGA, CPLD, and SoC programmable logic devices.

STEP 1

Supplier Screening

We evaluate supplier channels, traceability records, and historical quality performance before accepting any FPGA or CPLD inventory.

STEP 2

Part Number & Package Check

Each component is cross-checked against datasheet specifications for correct part number, package type, pin count, and speed grade.

STEP 3

Visual Inspection

Trained technicians examine the component body for physical damage, re-marking signs, solder residue, and other visible anomalies.

STEP 4

Label & Date Code Review

We verify manufacturer logos, part markings, date codes, and lot numbers against known authentic patterns for each brand.

STEP 5

Photos Before Shipment

High-resolution photos of the actual components are taken before packaging, including top view, label close-up, and pin 1 orientation.

STEP 6

COC / RoHS Status Upon Request

Certificate of Conformance and RoHS status information are available upon request. Please specify documentation needs in your RFQ.

Anti-Counterfeit Support

Counterfeit programmable logic devices are a serious risk in the independent component market. We apply a multi-layered approach to reduce this risk:

  • Visual comparison against known authentic samples
  • Package marking and logo consistency checks
  • Date code and lot number pattern verification
  • Traceability documentation review when available
  • Supplier channel verification and history checks

Note: While we perform thorough visual and documentary checks, we recommend that buyers also conduct their own incoming inspection. For high-value or critical applications, third-party testing may be advisable.

Quality Documents

We can provide the following documentation to support your procurement and quality assurance processes. Availability depends on the specific component and supply channel:

  • Certificate of Conformance (COC) — available upon request
  • RoHS status information — available upon request
  • Pre-shipment photos — standard for all orders
  • Packaging condition report — standard for all orders
  • Manufacturer datasheet — linked per part number
All compliance documentation is provided as available. No AS9120, ISO, or authorized distributor claims are made.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our FPGA quality control and inspection processes.

What quality checks does CHIPFPGA perform on FPGA components?
We perform a multi-step inspection including supplier screening, part number and package verification, visual body inspection, label and date code review, high-resolution photos before shipment, and COC / RoHS status documentation available upon request.
Can I request photos of the actual FPGA components before shipment?
Yes. We provide high-resolution photos of the actual components before packaging and shipment. You can request specific angles, label close-ups, or date code verification images as part of your RFQ.
Does CHIPFPGA provide COC or RoHS documentation?
COC (Certificate of Conformance) and RoHS status information are available upon request. Please specify your documentation requirements when submitting an RFQ and we will include the available records with your quotation.
How do you verify that Xilinx, Altera, Lattice, and GOWIN parts are authentic?
We source through established supply channels and perform visual authentication checks including logo consistency, package markings, date code patterns, and known counterfeit indicators. For high-risk or obsolete lines, we can provide additional verification steps upon request.
What is the typical turnaround time for a quality inspection report?
Standard quality inspection results are included with your RFQ response within 24 hours. For detailed inspection reports with additional photos or documentation, please allow 1–2 business days depending on component availability and location.
Can I return FPGA components if they fail my incoming inspection?
Yes. We offer a return and exchange policy for components that do not match the agreed specifications. Please contact our support team within 7 business days of receipt and include photos of the discrepancy. See our Return & Exchange page for full terms.
